Jardín Botánico
Founded in 1901, it is the most important of the island, not only for its antiquity but also because it has valuable collections of plants, unique of its kind in America. It was declared a National Monument on October 20, 1989 and is located 17 km east of Cienfuegos. It houses more than 2,000 species of plants including 23 kinds of bamboo.
